Nanotech + Art

Before reviewing this weeks material, if you would have asked me what nanotechnology and nano-science were I would have described you a image or concept from a movie. In all honesty I did not know if nanotechnology is something us as humans had a control over or something we could utilize for good. In movies it was all for menacing plot schemes by evil villains who wanted to simply destroy, but in reality it can be used for positivity and health reasons.

Nano is dwarf in greek, the word "nanotechnology" derived from Nario Tanniguchi from Tokyo University of Science in a press conference in 1974. But Richard Feynman is credited for initiating the concept as he discussed the idea of Nanotechnology 15 years beforehand through his lecture in 1959. He talked about the shrinkage of the nanoscale laws, as well as how the behavior of nanoscale oblates can be used to create new effects. Feynman saw the potential of nanotechnology, it was up to followers of the movement to capitalize upon on it. 
My favorite and most interesting aspect of nano usage is the concept of it being used in medicine. Nanotechnology can be used to target tumors, and is also being used to help with the treatment of breast cancer. The usage of nanotechnology is so important, nano devices can be made so small that they are able to get into cells within the body. Once in the cells they can attack and kill tumor and cancer cells that are harmful to the body. Nanotechnology is exciting and has nearly unlimited potential, as we learn more and more it can truly help our existence as humans.

    I agree with everything you said in your blog about nanotechnology especially about nanotechnology being able to help our existence as humans. I think that eventually we will be able to cure cancer, possibly with the use of nanotechnology if you continuously improve in nanotechnology.

Blog Two: Math + Art

Math + Art If you are an artist, you can't be a fan of math. If your a mathematician, you can't be a fan of art. But why is that? Can both correlate and work together? After going over this weeks material I have came to the conclusion that the two go hand in hand. It started in the 1300s where Duccio Di Buoninsegna was the first to incorporate depth and the changing of inclines of lines both above and bellow eye level which in turn changed prospective of arts forever. Filippo Brunelleschi came in next with his incorporation of a single vanishing point as well as the utilization of parallel lines to convert the vanishing point (mathematical concepts). The early influences of a vanishing point and other similar objectives brought on more and more advances of art using math, such as 3 dimensional figures on a 2 dimensional canvas. Arts + Robotics The world we live in is constantly evolving. The technological world we live in is continuously experiencing new technological advances. The first technological advancements began simply with the light bulb created by Thomas Edison or the printing press, where now there are talks about militarized robots and robots that should interact with people on a civil level. I believe mass media is what led to the nonstop growth of new technology. Humans are on a constant search for a simpler lifestyle, the less hard work and manual labor we can do, the better.
